Roman Transliteration (IAST)
rākṣasānāṃ viśeṣaśca purī ceyamavekṣitā | rākṣasādhipaterasya prabhāvo rāvaṇasya ca ||
English Scholarly Translation
Truly have I seen her today, engaged as I have been as a spy to estimate the strength of the enemy and am ranging secretly everywhere. I have seen minutely the city of the Rākşasas, and the strength of Rāvana the lord of Rākşasas.
