Roman Transliteration (IAST)
ājñapto rājavadvākyaṃ pratikūlaṃ niśācaraḥ | abravītparuṣaṃ vākyaṃ mārīco rākṣasādhipam ||
English Scholarly Translation
Being thus commended by Rāvana like a king to act against his will Mārica fearlessly addressed the lord of the Rākṣasas with the following bold words.
