Abstract
Abstract. this article examines the species composition of waterfowl and near-water birds that stay during spring flights to some reservoirs of the Balykchi CCA, which are located 8-9 km from the village. Lake towards the south-east and occupy considerable territories of the region. We have noticed that during spring migrations, some waterfowl and near-water species of birds are in large numbers, like different ducks (common goldeneye, red-headed duck, garganey, etc.), and some wintering species, like great white egret, pygmy cormorants, coots form large clusters. Among those who arrived for nesting or flying, rare protected species were noted, сommon spoonbil, black stork, white-eye pochard, pallas's qull, etc. The purpose of the research was to identify the dependence of the species composition of birds on weather conditions and their feeding places during spring arrival. Research material and methodology. The main method is the observation method generally accepted in zoology and ecology using modern Olympus binoculars, a Canon-600D digital camera and GPS-32x Garmin to establish terrain coordination. Birds of prey were determined by the work of E. Sh. Kasybekov [1]. As a result of a 2-year spring observation during the end of wintering (February) and the onset of spring migrations (March-April) 2025 and 2026. we have established the presence of more than 68 species of birds from 13 orders, including protected species. Spring 2026 turned out to be early for the arrival of some species of birds, for example, for spoonbills, black stork, black-headed laughter, snipe. In previous years, they and other species arrived at a later date (for example, in early or mid-May).
