Abstract
In this review of the book Dora Gabe and Dobrudzha by Kremena Miteva, we aim to outline the research method and to bring out some productive directions for the enlargement of the poet’s literary biography and the thickening of the knowledge of the contemporary socio-cultural environment, as well as to outline new thematic kernels in literary comparativistics and sociology with the images of Dobrudzha. Rather than setting a theoretical framework, the researcher demonstrates the heuristic possibilities of a comparative examination of documentary and fictional sources and this pairing is the basis of a contemporary narrative for understanding the relationship between literature, artistic biography and geography. The work presented here is both a valuable scholarly contribution and open to a wide readership.
