Abstract

<jats:p>This article broadly covers the theoretical and practical aspects of improving the activities of higher education institutions based on the experience of international educational organizations. In the context of the acceleration of global educational processes, the adaptation of the higher education system to international standards, improving the quality of education, modernization of management mechanisms, and the development of academic mobility are analyzed as urgent tasks. Modern trends in the development of higher education are studied based on the approaches developed within the framework of UNESCO, OECD, the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), and the Bologna process. The article also covers issues of digital transformation processes, the use of artificial intelligence and digital platforms, expanding research activities, and participation in international grant projects. The issues of training personnel in line with the requirements of the labor market, improving educational programs based on a competency-based approach, and strengthening the position of universities in international rankings are also considered as important areas. According to general conclusions, the implementation of international experiences in the national higher education system serves to improve the quality of education and ensure its competitiveness.</jats:p>
