Abstract
This article analyzes the natural-geological, hydrometeorological and anthropogenic factors of landslides, which are widespread in the Central Asian region. The study highlights the characteristics of landslide development in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, the socio-economic risks they pose in transboundary regions such as the Fergana Valley, and the shortcomings of the existing monitoring system. It also substantiates the view that climate change is a factor leading to an increase in landslides in the future.
