MODERN PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MEDICINAL SYRUPS (REVIEW)

<jats:p>This article presents theoretical information on the dosage forms known as syrups, their nomenclature, composition, and technology, including preparations based on synthetic substances intended for pediatric use. The advantages and disadvantages of these dosage forms are highlighted. Corrigents and other excipients (stabilizers, preservatives, thickeners) used in the formulation of syrups are discussed in detail.</jats:p>
