<jats:p>This article discusses the methods of forming students' knowledge and enhancing their intellectual abilities within the framework of the PIRLS international assessment program. It highlights the integral connection between the "National Curriculum" and the international assessment program, as well as the integration of mother tongue and reading literacy with the PIRLS reading literacy standards.</jats:p>
