Abstract
<jats:p>The monograph is the first to undertake a fundamental study of the theoretical-methodological and scientific-applied potential of the sociocultural approach in improving the training of an international profile specialist in the context of new socio-cultural trends. The research was carried out in the context of understanding the social demand for a competent specialist capable of effective professional activity in an international and intercultural environment, competitive in the world labor market. Methodological, conceptual and structural-functional interpretation of the sociocultural approach was carried out taking into account its historical and philosophical foundations, consideration of the genesis of formation, identification of leading functions, awareness of ideology, methodology, factors, mechanisms, principles, conditions, implementation technology, as well as the unity of its purpose and result. The result of the successful integration of theoretical and practical knowledge was the development and testing of the Model of vocational training based on the socio-cultural approach, as the content and technological support of which the author’s Technology of updating the sociocultural aspect of the content of education was applied, which made it possible to form the necessary level of socio-cultural competence of a specialist’s personality.</jats:p>
