Magazines of Russian Symbolism

<jats:p>A new form of magazine — the symbolist magazine — appeared in Russian culture at the turn of the XX century. Its appearance was due to large–scale changes in the worldview paradigm, primarily manifested in the absolutization of art. Revolutionary aesthetic attitudes needed to be manifested, and art magazines took on this role. New ideas, spreading at the speed of an epidemic and not applicable to the usual, widely used form of periodical publication, gave rise to a completely new type of magazine, which in its turn also contributed to the emergence of a number of cultural phenomena.</jats:p>
