Abstract

<jats:p>The article examines theoretical and practical aspects of a system of exercises based on culturally significant texts aimed at developing socio-cultural awareness among Azerbaijani students learning Russian as a foreign language. The proposed methodology includes pre-text, text, and post-text stages that contribute to the development of skills in analyzing and interpreting cultural realities, comparing elements of Russian and Azerbaijani cultures, and applying the acquired knowledge in communicative practice.
