Abstract
<jats:p>The article examined the passenger station on May 28, and carried out a full analysis of the Baku-Sumgayit section. All the necessary elements for constructing a passenger train schedule were also noted. The operating technology of passenger stations is determined by the categories of trains served. Passenger trains, long-distance transit and of their own formation, local and suburban, pass through the passenger station. The technology for processing these trains is based on the maximum reduction of time for carrying out operations, minimal costs for servicing and equipping trains, accelerating the turnover of trains and reducing their number. Next, the passenger traffic plan is analyzed and important points in its construction are noted. When linking the main elements of the station, attention was paid to the concepts of pace and technological interval and calculated in the directions Baku-Khirdalan-Sumgayit and Baku-Prishaghi-Sumgayit. Research has also shown that the actual movement is not circular, but in two semi-arc directions. The authors proposed to build a railway line from Guzdek to Sumgayit-Pasazhirskaya, which would provide circular traffic on the line.</jats:p>
