DEVELOPMENT OF NOVEL APPROACHES FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF PYRIDINE CONTAINING SCAFFOLDS

<jats:p>Vital scaffolds included in a large number of commercially marketed medicines are substituted pyridines. A promising new family of intermediates for region selective and halo selective reactions are halo pyridines. They exhibit halogen dance rearrangement to give lithiated species, these are highly sequential to undergo Stile and Suzuki reactions. Imidazole pyridine exhibit many radical reactions, azirines and enamines are very important precursors for the synthesis of imidazole, pyrazolo and azolo pyridines.</jats:p>
