Abstract
Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) is a very focused and on-target form of radiotherapy used for treatment in head and neck tumors. It delivers strong, targeted radiation doses to kill directly to the tumor, while protecting nearby healthy tissues. This approach is very helpful for patients with recurrent or advanced-stage cancers, where standard treatments may not be effective. Studies show SBRT can achieve good local control and survival rates, even in complex cases. Its accuracy makes it suitable for tumors in difficult-to-reach areas, offering new options for patients who were previously considered untreatable. However, careful planning is essential to account for tumor size, location, and nearby critical structures. SBRT is a crucial path forward in head and neck cancer tumor, for improving outcomes and maintaining the good quality of life for many patients.
