Abstract
<jats:p>The purpose of the study is to analyze the current state of innovation activity in the non-oil and gas industry of Azerbaijan. The development problems of the non-oil and gas industry are touched upon. The current state of innovation activity in the non-oil and gas industry is analyzed and summarized. The role of innovation functions in the development of the non-oil and gas industry based on high technologies is considered. Recommendations are developed and proposals are made on strengthening the innovation activity of the non-oil and gas industry in Azerbaijan in the near future. The research method used was analysis, synthesis, comparative analysis and statistics. At the same time, the opinions of researchers conducting research on the problems of innovation in the nonoil and gas industry were taken into account. The results of the study can be used in developing mechanisms for the development of the non-oil and gas industry in Azerbaijan in modern conditions and strengthening innovation activities in this area.
