Abstract
<jats:p>The purpose of the study is to analyze the processes of forming a green economy model and its development in Azerbaijan. The problems of forming a green economy are explained and generalized. The importance of developing a green economy is substantiated. The processes of building a green economy in the country are analyzed. Taking into account new challenges, proposals are put forward on the directions of developing a green economy model in Azerbaijan. Research method preference is given to the use of scientific abstraction, analysis, synthesis, comparative analysis and generalization methods. Also, reference is made to research works conducted on the formation of a green economy model. Research results in terms of, we can note that currently, the development processes of green economy sectors are underway in Azerbaijan and the proposals given in the article can be used to organize these processes more efficiently.
