Abstract
<jats:p>The purpose of the study is to investigate the problems of development of insurance services in the agrarian sector of Azerbaijan. The problems that slow down the development of the agrarian sphere are studied and generalized. The importance of insurance services in the agrarian sector in modern conditions is substantiated. The role of agrarian insurance services in the effective functioning of the agrarian sector in Azerbaijan is given. Proposals are made to increase the role of insurance services in the development of the country's agrarian sector in the future. The research method used was analysis, synthesis, comparison and statistical methods. In addition, the views of researchers who have scientific works on more efficient organization of insurance services in the agricultural sector were kept in the spotlight. The results of the study are likely to be useful in effectively using the insurance mechanism to intensify the development of the agricultural sector of Azerbaijan during the period of global economic transformations.
