Abstract
Analysis of registered outbreaks of emphysematous carbuncle (blackleg) show that this epidemic is registered in our country annually, and its distribution area is significantly expanding and stationary every year. Thus, epidemic stationaries indicate that the disease can spread widely if the epizootic situation is not constantly monitored and anti-epizootic measures are not carried out in a planned and complete manner. For the immunization of animals against blackleg in our country, a formalized vaccine with aluminium hydroxide is used. But in some cases, when the quality of the vaccine used for immunization of animals is low and the rules for their transportation, storage and use are incorrectly observed, the effectiveness of the vaccines used is weakened and the animals become ill. In our research, we tried two different models of hyperimmunization to obtain hyperimmunic serum against the blackleg epidemic in animals. For hyperimmunization, rabbits that are sensitive to hemp were used. Ten rabbits of the first sample were vaccinated with the inactivated pathogen twice in 7 days, the last 5 were vaccinated with the live pathogen 7 times. The volume of immunizing material increased by 0.5 ml with each injection. Although the second hyperimmunization sample was exactly the same, the immunostimulator «Immunpharm» was added to the immunizing material. Hyperimmunic serum activity has been tested in the agglutination reaction (AR). As a result, hyperimmunic serum with high anti-blackleg activity was obtained from hyperimmunized rabbits according to the second schedule and their titer in AR was 1:640, this indicator did not exceed 1:320 in serum from hyperimmunized rabbits according to the first schedule. Our results showed that the hyperimmunic serum of blackleg can be used to treat this epidemic and prevent the disease, and the introduction of this drug in the practice of Veterinary Medicine in the future will bring great results.
