Abstract
<jats:p>The article addresses the following issues: the phenomenon of syntheticism-analyticism in Bulgarian grammar, including the correlation between word length and the degree of syntheticism-analyticism; the Slavic and Balkan specificity of Bulgarian grammar, with a detailed description of the corresponding grammatical features; the influence of Ottoman Turkish on the grammatical system; the relationship of Bulgarian grammar to the languages of the broader European Language Area. Particular attention is given to the role of interlingual interactions.</jats:p>
