Self-Understandings and Identifications of Orthodox Christians in the Early Modern Serbian Marginal Notes 1450–1750

<jats:p>Manuscripts hold an extraordinary place as both functional and artistic creations, embodying the skill and dedication of everyone involved in their production and use. Despite the rise of printed books and the inevitable wear of time, the manuscripts endure as vivid testaments to the scribes, illuminators, binders, commissioners, and the many others who have touched them. Their preservation speaks to the inter-twined stories of craft, faith, and intellectual endeavour.</jats:p>
