Abstract
<jats:p>The healthcare system is being transformed by the innovations of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that will help in improving its diagnostics and predictive analytics, as well as online health management. The paper aims to evaluate the role that AI-based medical tourism may play in advancing health-related interests worldwide, particularly in improving accessibility to and quality of healthcare. The research is qualitative in exploratory approach, which relies on the semi-structured interviews with health care professionals, medical tourism facilitators, policymakers and specialists in the field of AI health-technology, and is complemented with the examination of the relevant policy documents.The paper defines the opportunities of medical tourism based on AI as a tool to improve cheaper, effective, and sustainable medical services in a global context.</jats:p>
