Abstract
<jats:p>The ISO 9001:2026 standard represents a critical evolution in quality management systems, particularly relevant for SMEs operating in volatile environments. This chapter examines, from a strategic and multidimensional approach, how the new version of the standard enhances dynamic capacity by redefining quality beyond compliance, and by integrating tools such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to optimize processes, anticipate risks, and create value. Through conceptual, technical, and practical analysis of real-world cases and literature review, the chapter highlights the benefits of ISO 9001:2026 implementation for SMEs seeking to strengthen resilience, agility, and competitiveness in increasingly interconnected and demanding supply chains. Furthermore, common barriers to adoption are identified, and strategies for overcoming them are proposed, emphasizing cultural, technological, and human transformation. Ultimately, ISO 9001:2026 will not only improve business performance but also act as a catalyst for SMEs to build ethical, sustainable, and intelligent business ecosystems, boosting their dynamic capacity to thrive under volatility.</jats:p>
