Abstract
This chapter examines the multifaceted impact of cultural disruption on employee well-being and mental health within contemporary organizations. It defines cultural disruption as the rapid transformation of workplace norms and practices driven by digital transformation, the adoption of hybrid work models, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) movements, leadership communication gaps, and intergenerational value clashes. The analysis synthesizes organizational psychology theories to elucidate the mechanisms—including increased uncertainty, identity conflict, resource depletion, and eroded psychological safety—through which these disruptions elevate risks of anxiety, burnout, and disengagement.
