Abstract

<jats:p>This chapter explores the burgeoning role of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-generated content in the multifaceted landscape of foreign language teaching. It delves into practical applications and pedagogical considerations for utilizing AI-generated text, audio, and visual materials to enhance the teaching of the four core skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) and the three fundamental components of language (grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation). Furthermore, the chapter examines how AI can facilitate the development of communicative competence through the creation of realistic and engaging interactive exercises and scenarios. The discussion extends to the potential of AI in streamlining classroom management tasks, such as generating personalized learning materials and providing automated feedback, and in supporting efficient lesson planning through the creation of diverse and adaptable resources. This chapter aims to equip foreign language educators with a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively integrate AI-generated content into their teaching practices.</jats:p>
