Abstract

This chapter examines the tension between technology integration and scripted curriculum implementation in K–8 classrooms. It introduces the TE-Structured Professional Development Model, a framework designed to help teachers maintain curriculum fidelity while leveraging digital tools. Grounded in research on professional development effectiveness, teacher efficacy, and digital equity, the model includes four pillars: curriculum-embedded workshops, job-embedded coaching cycles, differentiation checkpoints, and infrastructure equity audits. Drawing on meta-analytic and international research, the framework offers practical strategies for integrating technology without disrupting instructional pacing. Implementation scenarios illustrate adaptability across varied school contexts, with implications for future research and policy development.
