Abstract
<jats:p>Günümüzde dental implantlar, eksik dişlerin rehabilitasyonunda güvenilir ve sık tercih edilen bir tedavi yöntemidir. Dental implant tedavisinde başarıyı elde etmek için hastanın sistemik sağlık durumunun tedavi öncesinde iyi değerlendirilmesi gerekir. Sistemik hastalıklar ve bunların tedavilerinde kullanılan ilaçlar implant tedavisinde hem cerrahi aşama ve iyileşme dönemini hem de implantların uzun dönem klinik başarısını etkileyebilir. Bu bölümde sistemik hastalıkların ve bu hastalıklara yönelik tedavilerin dental implantların osseointegrasyonu, peri-implant doku sağlığı, implant sağkalımı ve klinik başarısı üzerindeki olası etkileri değerlendirilecektir. Nowadays, dental implants represent a reliable and frequently preferred treatment modality for the rehabilitation of missing teeth. Achieving success in dental implant therapy necessitates a thorough pre-treatment evaluation of the patient's systemic health status. Systemic diseases and the medications used in their management can impact both the surgical phase and the healing period, as well as the long-term clinical success of the implants. This chapter evaluates the potential effects of systemic diseases and their respective treatments on the osseointegration, peri-implant tissue health, survival, and clinical success of dental implants.</jats:p>
