Abstract
<jats:p>The article explores approaches to quality management and efficiency of the digital repository of a library of a higher education institution. It is emphasised that the functioning of a digital repository in providing open access to research data, providing the university academic community with resources to support educational and research activities is directly related to total quality management. The current approaches to the application of total quality management of the functioning of the digital repository of the library of a higher education institution are generalised. The principles of ensuring the quality of service provision and access to digital collections in archival institutions that can be applied to the functioning of the digital repository of the library of a higher education institution are identified. It has been found that the main approaches to the quality and efficiency of the functioning of the digital repository of the library of a higher education institution are based on internal efficiency, which is ensured by the scientific and methodological activities of the library and the relevant competencies of library specialists, and external efficiency, which is realized in the use of external opportunities of the library through cooperation with professional associations of Ukraine and foreign countries, which is within the concept of social partnership. Attention is drawn to the need for proactivity in the activities of the library of a higher education institution to ensure the efficiency of the digital repository.</jats:p>
