Abstract
<jats:p>The article examines the problem of developing students’ creative abilities in technology lessons through the use of practical teaching methods in the context of the modern transformation of the educational process. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to develop a creative, initiative, and competent personality capable of independent thinking, project activity, and practical application of knowledge in various spheres of life. The importance of the educational field “Technologies” as an effective environment for the development of creativity, technical thinking, imagination, artistic and aesthetic taste, and students’ ability for self-realization is substantiated. The scientific approaches to the interpretation of the essence of creative abilities in psychological and pedagogical literature are analyzed, and the role of the activity-based approach in the formation of students’ creative potential is determined. It has been established that the effectiveness of creative abilities development largely depends on the use of practical teaching methods that ensure students’ active participation in educational, cognitive, and creative project activities. Particular attention is paid to project-based learning, problem-based learning, interactive methods, creative search methods, self-analysis, and reflection. The article reveals the possibilities of using practical teaching methods at different stages of technology lessons, particularly within the module “Beauty and Health”. Their influence on the development of independence, creative thinking, the ability to improvise, make non-standard decisions, and create one’s own educational product is characterized. It is determined that the systematic use of practical teaching methods contributes to the formation of a creative, socially active, and technologically competent student personality. The prospects for further scientific research are associated with studying the possibilities of integrating digital technologies and innovative educational approaches into the practice of technological education in order to improve the methodology for developing students’ creative abilities.</jats:p>
