Abstract
<jats:p>The article reflects the results of experimental testing of the effectiveness of the pedagogical system for the formation of transversal competencies of future geography teachers using innovative technologies. The main trends of changes in the motivational-axiological, intellectual-cognitive, praxeological-communicative components and the specified criteria are characterized. Within the motivational-axiological component, some of the motives of professional orientation of future geography teachers have undergone pronounced changes, in particular, self-realization in professional activity, personal development; the priority of the value of the content of the profession, the desire for an active educational and professional life is established; a stable positive dynamics of the development of professionally significant personal qualities in the experimental group is demonstrated. The intellectual-cognitive component was determined by intellectual-cognitive, competence-based, information-cognitive criteria. It was found that the introduction of innovative technologies, in particular the technology of developing critical thinking, contributes to an increase in the level of formation of the intellectual-cognitive component. Diagnostics of the praxeological-communicative component showed that the applicants of the experimental group demonstrate a higher level of formation of leading skills and abilities (special, organizational, research, communicative, dialogical, prognostic, reflective). The conclusion is formulated that the author's pedagogical system using innovative technologies has a significant positive impact on the formation of transversal competencies of future geography teachers and improves the quality of their professional training.</jats:p>
