Abstract
As part of the study of laser cutting methods for multilayer carbon fiber composite panels, experiments were conducted to further evaluate the effect of cutting speed, number of passes, distance from the laser head to the surface of the material, nozzle diameter, the presence of a double aperture in the nozzle and a pre-applied trench on the quality of linear cuts. As a result of the research, it was found that laser cutting of carbon fiber, including trench technology and the use of a double-aperture nozzle, provides opportunities for the use of a fiber laser as an alternative to mechanical cutting in the restoration and repair of parts made of polymer composite materials.
