Abstract
This study focuses on analyzing the impact of tire wear on accident rates. It examines the physical and operational aspects of this issue, including the critical increase in braking distance, deterioration in handling, loss of effectiveness on wet and winter surfaces, and an increased risk of punctures. The analysis reveals a direct correlation between tire condition and road safety. Based on the findings, practical recommendations are provided for drivers to monitor tire condition and adopt appropriate driving habits. The study emphasizes that timely replacement of worn-out tires is one of the most effec-tive measures to prevent accidents.
