Abstract

The article presents several presumed practical approaches to the problem of multiple-stage elimination of pre-tilt conditions in buildings and structures constructed in complex engineering and geological environments, as well as in more typical conditions. The fundamentally new proposals introduced in the article include the following: during the lifting of a building wing that has subsided due to tilt, it is suggested to alternate injections of portions of cement grout with small volumes of highly compressed air, as well as to alternate cement grout injections with portions of molten resin under pressure. Since timely elimination of a pre-tilt condition is a more rational operation compared with combating a tilt that has already developed, the proposed method of multiple correction of the building’s vertical position offers practical feasibility and potential applicability.
