Abstract

The article examines the theoretical foundations of strategic logistics management of trade enterprises, taking into account risks under wartime conditions. A critical analysis of leading logistics management methodologies applied in extreme environments is conducted, identifying their advantages and limitations in the context of war. The prerequisites for the formation of a strategic approach to logistics management in trade enterprises are analyzed, with particular attention to the key risks faced by Ukrainian trade enterprises during wartime. The elements of a methodological approach are theoretically substantiated, integrating the best achievements of existing methodologies with specific tools for managing war-related logistics risks in trade enterprises. The concept of adaptive risk-oriented logistics management comprises five interrelated blocks. The first block, strategic diagnostics of the logistics environment, involves a comprehensive analysis of external and internal factors as well as potential risks that shape the conditions of logistics activities under wartime circumstances. The second block, classification and quantitative assessment of logistics risks, is based on a generalized typology that distinguishes four main groups of risks: wartime macroeconomic risks (inflationary, currency, and resource shortage risks); military-operational risks (risks of infrastructure destruction, route blockage, and landmines); socio-demographic risks (changes in demand caused by evacuation and labor shortages); and digital risks (cyber threats to logistics systems). The third block, formation of a strategic portfolio of logistics decisions, involves the development of a system of measures aimed at adapting the strategic logistics management of a trading enterprise to wartime conditions. The fourth block, development of an adaptive logistics network, represents the practical implementation of the strategic portfolio of decisions. The fifth block, monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of strategic logistics management, includes a system of KPIs adapted to wartime conditions.
