Abstract
The article examines the practical implementation of the modern educational paradigm in the context of developing supra-professional competencies among higher education students. Based on the analysis of contemporary scientific and informational sources, the authors identify meta skills as one of the key groups of universal competencies that contribute to the formation of both professional and personal qualities in students, particularly in the field of medical and biological education. Taking into account the specific training profile of future healthcare and biological specialists, as well as the structure and content of meta-skills, the authors establish a logical connection between these competencies and the personal, ethical, and professional qualities required of medical professionals. As a result, they developed a mini-roadmap entitled “Meta Skills as a Measurable Component in the Formation of Supra-Professional Competencies in Applicants for Higher Medical and Biological Education” and proposed an algorithm for its implementation within the educational environment of the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology of Poltava State Medical University and the Department of Biology, Human Health and Physical Rehabilitation of V.G. Korolenko Poltava National Pedagogical University. The proposed approach is viewed as a meaningful contribution to the comprehensive training of highly qualified medical and biological specialists capable of critical thinking, continuous professional development, and effective adaptation to the challenges of modern medicine and healthcare.
