Abstract

<jats:p>An algorithm is given for calculating the probability of correct detection of a signal with a given error for an inertial model of a single-channel receiving optical system operating in photon counting mode with a limited number of photons. When modeling the system, the proposed algorithm also allows us to estimate the minimum possible number of photons sufficient to achieve a given error in the probability of correct detection.</jats:p>
