Abstract

A study of the dynamic qualities of a promising spring set under random vibrations is carried out using the example of a simplified single-mass model of a four-axle section of a freight electric locomotive. The solution of the vibration equation of the single-mass model is performed in the frequency domain with the determination of frequency characteristics relating displacement, dynamic force and acceleration of mass with disturbance. Graphs of disturbance spectral densities given by analytical expressions as the sum of low-frequency and high-frequency disturbances, as well as graphs of spectral densities of displacements, dynamic forces and accelerations obtained by Shannon formula are presented. To assess the dynamic qualities of a promising spring set, the maximum elastic and dissipative forces, dynamics coefficients, and maximum accelerations at different speeds were determined using graphs of the spectral densities of dynamic forces and accelerations.
