Abstract
The purpose of the research is to develop a linguodidactic model for the formation of rhetorical competence of foreign students in the genre of self-presentation when teaching Russian as a foreign language. The research material was Tabaqui the Jackal’s monologue from M. Petrosyan’s novel “The Gray House”. In the course of the study, a linguistic and stylistic analysis of the text was carried out, revealing its rhetorical potential (composition, rhythm, vocabulary, techniques). On this basis, a model has been developed consisting of five blocks (target, theoretical and methodological, substantive, procedural and technological, evaluative and effective) and a system of exercises (analytical, transformational, creative). The originality of the research lies in the fact that for the first time a linguodidactic model of the formation of rhetorical competence is proposed, based on the material of an authentic literary text (Tabaqui the Jackal’s monologue) with specific rhetorical characteristics (paradoxical composition, anaphoric repetition, sensory vocabulary). The model integrates classical rhetorical approaches with modern ones (text-centric, communicative-activity, personality-oriented), and the exercise system is built as a step-by-step transition from analyzing a sample text to creatively producing one’s own self-presentation.
