Abstract

<jats:p>The monograph presents the results of long-term research into the archaeology, history, and culture of the Kurkijoki center and its surrounding areas. Archaeological and written sources, including birch bark manuscripts and chronicles, provide a comprehensive look into the history of the ancient Karelian people.
