Abstract
The evaluation perspective in network studies highlights the growing need to assess performance in light of the expansion of inter-firm organizations. In Italy, an increasing number of agricultural enterprises are engaging in network arrangements. Although the sector has traditionally devoted limited attention to accounting practices, firms adopting more structured reporting systems demonstrate superior performance. If network participation fosters the development of a stronger economic measurement culture, with positive performance effects, the diffusion of networks may contribute to sustained growth in the agricultural sector.
