Abstract

The following work is the result of the collection of different phases of cataloguing ceramic material from three different archaeological sites: two located in Puglia (Faragola and Salapia) and one in southern Albania (Orikos). From the archaeological site of Salapia, data was collected on the transport containers pertinent to the late antique and early medieval re-habitation phase of the area of the Roman domus and tannery. As far as Faragola is concerned, these are data relating to transport containers found in landfill areas (rubbish dumps) and in the early medieval settlement established on the remains of the Roman villa. Finally, the data relating to the city of Orikos, near Vlora, pertains both to the late antique contexts of the city and to the early medieval neighbourhood which was established on the remains of the city’s Hellenistic age monuments.
