Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the phrasemes of the Ossetian language, through which the verbalization of the discursive-modal concepts “one’s own” and “alien” is carried out. The purpose of the article is to identify the logical and pralogical bases underlying the emergence of phraseological units. The relevance of the research is due to the desire of modern linguistics not only to describe the semantics of phraseology, but also to try to describe the cognitive mechanisms of phraseosemiosis as a process of generating, using and interpreting phrasemes. The research is based on the material from the phraseological dictionary of the Ossetian language, which contains more than 7,000 phraseological units, using examples from modern journalism and fiction. The research methods used were the method of conceptual analysis, the definitional method, the historical method and the comparative method. In the course of the conducted research, it was established that the pragmatic thinking underlying the generalized content of phraseology is historically determined by causal relationships, which are characterized by utilitarian or associative imagery. For an accurate interpretation of the phraseological unit, it is necessary to take into account the internal form of the phraseme and the pre-sign mechanisms of phraseology. Otherwise, the connection between the significand and the significator is not established correctly, and the interpretation of the phraseology is incorrect. The linguocreative nature of phraseosemiosis further contributes to the fact that the phraseme as a two-sided unit is modified in the process of discursive-situational binding. In this case, both the expression plan (the combination of phraseological units with other words) and the content plan (the acquisition of new meanings or shades of meaning by the phraseological unit) can be transformed.
