Abstract
<jats:p>This article provides a theoretical justification for the mission of modern education in ensuring Russia’s cultural sovereignty. It explores the cultural and sovereignty-building function of education, identifying its direct and indirect aspects related to the development of individual cultural sovereignty and the strengthening of societal integrity. Particular attention is paid to analyzing the resource potential of the hospitality sector as a significant participant in the cultural dissemination and popularization of national values. The article substantiates the need for pedagogical support for the realization of the cultural and sovereignty-building potential of this sector through personnel training, value-based orientation of activities, and the integration of educational, cultural, and industry practices. A structure for the cultural and sovereignty-building potential of hospitality is proposed, indicating the necessary vectors for pedagogical development in this sector. Pedagogical development is substantiated as a key condition under which the hospitality sector can become an important determinant of Russia’s cultural sovereignty. The cultural and sovereignty-building resources of the hospitality sector are described in detail, including organizational and managerial, logistical, moral and ethical, personnel, and substantive and technological resources. The special significance of the moral and ethical resources of the hospitality sector for the pedagogical support of society’s cultural sovereignty is emphasized. A conclusion is drawn regarding the strategic role of education in consolidating society and preserving national and cultural identity in the face of modern civilizational challenges. The definition and content of the cultural and sovereignty mission of education are formulated, with an emphasis on the potential of the hospitality sector.</jats:p>
