Abstract
<jats:p>With the development of digital technologies in the financial sector and the emergence of new financial services and instruments, issues of personal financial management remain highly relevant. This article examines key aspects of personal financial management among university students. Special attention is paid to components such as income and expense tracking in the personal budget, planning and saving, and tools for monitoring personal finances. Results of a survey conducted among students of a transport university on the characteristics of students’ financial management and consumer behavior are presented. The specificity of impulsive consumer behavior among students is analyzed, and a link between spontaneous spending and emotional state is established.</jats:p>
