Abstract
<jats:p>The authors emphasize that, despite the high degree of importance of the studied problem of the public law mechanism for ensuring the security of individuals, society and the state in the country, this issue contains gaps in the legal regulation of these issues. The aim of the study is to substantiate the theoretical foundations and provide practical recommendations for defining the role of public administration and the public-law mechanism in ensuring state security in the context of the formation and implementation of relevant strategies. It is neces-sary to develop an effective system of public administration in the field of security of individuals, society and the state. The theoretical significance of the research is determined by the comprehensive development of the scientific foundations for studying the processes of determining and disclosing the essence, content and struc-ture of the constitutional and legal mechanism for ensuring the security of individuals, society and the state in the Russian Federation. For a long time, the complex aspects of determining the role of public administration in ensuring state security have been reflected in scientific research by both domestic and foreign scientists. They were actively discussed at scientific and practical conferences. However, the problem of ensuring optimal indi-cators of state security has not yet been resolved.</jats:p>
