Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze avant-garde projects aimed at modernizing the human image, which are reflected in the philosophical concept of transhumanism. Like transhumanists, avant-garde artists seek to modify the negative elements of the human biological foundation that are encoded genetically. The interpretation of the «new human model» excludes the spiritual and moral aspects, leading to an anthropological crisis (where the human form is declared immortal from a «superbiological» perspective), where morality and ethics are excluded. The subject of the study is the analysis of the essence of the human image in the philosophy of transhumanism and the artistic avant-garde. The author analyzes the philosophical, ethical, and aesthetic views of representatives of the artistic avant-garde and transhumanism. For the first time, the anthroposocial projects of the avant-garde culture of the early 20th century and transhumanism are systematized, and the basis of their conceptual principles is determined. The methodological basis of the study. The author uses the following methods: comparative analysis and the hermeneutical method. Comparative analysis allows us to compare the concepts of avant-garde artists and transhumanists in terms of their understanding of the essence and purpose of human existence. The hermeneutical method is used to interpret the philosophical texts of transhumanists and the theoretical works of avant-garde artists. The study concludes that the ideas of transhumanism are based on the ideas of the avant-garde artists of the early 20th century, who rejected the biological essence of humans and recognized them as imperfect. In the paintings of Kazimir Malevich, the figures are presented in a static, alienated, and impersonal manner. The work «Black Square» represents a rejection of reality and of the human being. These ideas are also present in transhumanism, where the concept of human modeling and becoming a cyborg is explored. The prospects for research lie in the study of the modernization of the human genetic code, where changes lead to mutations and modifications in the form of irreversible processes. Transhumanists need to conduct examinations and approvals of provisions due to the inadmissibility of the risks of sociobiological inequality, and subsequently — the possible elimination of man as a biological species. At the state level, it is necessary to control the development of human modification on the basis of ethical and legal foundations.
