Abstract

<jats:p>This article is devoted to a comprehensive study of the verb to give in Russian, considered as the center of a productive word-formation nest. The main attention is paid to the grammatical and derivational features of this verb, its ability to form a wide range of new lexical units, as well as a comparison with the corresponding constructions in the Czech language. The focus of the analysis is the syntactic, morphological and semantic variability of the verb to give, its meaning in the structure of the Russian language and the reflection of these characteristics in the Czech language system.</jats:p>
