Functional state of the antioxidant system under conditions of experimental inflammation

<jats:p>Inflammatory processes are accompanied by activation of free radical reactions and disturbances in the antioxidant defense system. The aim of this study was to investigate the functional state of the antioxidant system under conditions of experimental inflammation. Biochemical indicators of oxidative stress and antioxidant enzyme activity were analyzed in experimental animals with induced inflammatory processes. The results demonstrated significant activation of lipid peroxidation and changes in antioxidant defense parameters, indicating the involvement of oxidative stress mechanisms in the development of inflammatory reactions.</jats:p>
