Abstract
The article examines the problem of fostering critical thinking in youth within the context of modern digital threats. The author substantiates the thesis that the development of critical thinking transcends pedagogical tasks and becomes a strategic direction for ensuring national security. The legal framework of the Russian Federation is analyzed, defining the priorities of educational policy in this field, as well as the concepts of "digital risks," "information sovereignty," and "critical thinking." The necessity of a systematic approach to developing the analytical abilities of youth as a key element of national security and the integration of critical analysis competencies into state programs of upbringing and education is justified. Based on expert assessments by Russian researchers and education practitioners, promising directions for implementing state policy in this sphere are identified.
