Abstract
<jats:p>The textbook covers in detail the sections of the general physics course that are usually insufficiently covered in the educational literature. The publication fills in these gaps by offering a variety of information from a wide variety of sources. Special attention is paid to explaining the physical nature of phenomena, taking into account modern scientific achievements. A large number of detailed examples and tasks helps consolidate the material and develop practical skills. The application of physics in various fields, including the humanities, is demonstrated, thereby building interdisciplinary connections. It will be useful for students of any courses and specialties as an addition to the standard textbooks of the university general physics course, and it will help physics teachers to diversify the presentation of the subject.</jats:p>
