Abstract
<jats:p>The monograph is the first study of customs control in Russian jurisprudence, its place in the system of state control and supervision, and the specifics of its legal regulation. Customs control as a type of state control is considered from the point of view of a number of public law sciences: constitutional, administrative, informational, financial law. The theoretical, legal, methodological and axiological foundations of customs control have been developed, and criteria for distinguishing it from customs supervision have been proposed. The institutions of customs control and supervision are examined in relation to administrative jurisdiction, activities for the provision of public services in the field of customs, and licensing activities. The concept of administrative barriers during customs control is defined, and ways to reduce them in modern conditions are proposed. The current problems of public law regulation of customs control and supervision are outlined, and ways to solve them are proposed based on the current regulatory framework in the field of customs regulation, which includes the level of the Eurasian Economic Union and Russian legislation. Special attention is paid to the digitalization of control and supervisory procedures of customs authorities in modern conditions. It is addressed to students, undergraduates, postgraduates, teachers, researchers and practitioners, anyone interested in legal issues of customs regulation, state control and supervision.</jats:p>
